Islam is a monotheistic religion in which Muslims believe in one God, Allah, and follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. The foundation of Islam is the Qur’an, the holy book that is Allah’s revelation. The five pillars of Islam, the basic duties of every Muslim, are: - Shahada – declaring the testimony of faith: “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His messenger.” - Prayer – performing the five daily prayers. - Zakat – giving a portion of one’s wealth to help those in need. - Fasting – fasting during the month of Ramadan. - Hajj – performing the pilgrimage to Mecca.

All activities at the Gazi Isa-beg Islamic Centre are held primarily in Bosnian, but from time to time we also organize lectures in French, German and English. Friday prayer is held in two time slots: - First time slot: khutba in Arabic and French. - Second time slot: khutba in Bosnian. For youth, we often offer activities in different languages – in French, German, English, but primarily in Bosnian. We strive to make our program as diverse and accessible as possible to a wider audience.

The Gazi Isa-beg Islamic Centre is primarily intended for Muslims, as a place for prayer, education and other religious activities. At the same time, the centre is open to all visitors, especially those who would like to learn about Islam and our community. During a visit, visitors should behave respectfully, as in any place of worship, dress appropriately and remove their shoes before entering the prayer area. The centre also includes a library with literature and translations of the Qur’an in several languages.

If you are interested in our activities, the most important thing is to follow our social media channels, where we regularly publish announcements about events and lectures. Most activities take place on weekends, especially on Saturday evenings. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or background. Our activities are suitable for all generations, from children to older people, and are a great opportunity to connect with your faith and meet new people.
